One Foot on a Banana Peel is a description of grief and an expression of the hope and healing that lie beyond trauma and tragedy.
... to the place of hope and healing.
There is so much pain in this world today. Afflictions and heartaches come quickly and abruptly, trying to steal away all our hopes and dreams. Grief and depression wiegh heavily on our hearts. One Foot on a Banana Peel is a description of grief and an expression of the hope and healing that lie beyond trauma and tragedy. It offers insight into:
"You go and tell them that if I can walk you through your 'valley of the shadow of death,' I can and will walk with them through theirs."
God
Compassionate Care:
Because of the pain that's been in my heart, I can recognize and have compassion for the pain that's in yours. And because of the hope and healing I found in the Lord, I know that you can find that same hope and healing in Him as well.
This is not an easy path to traverse. But, I believe it's time now, and God is working all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
You will learn as I did, that as deep as the pain goes, so deep goes the love and grace of God to bring healing. When you feel as though you have 'one foot on a banana peel,' place your other foot in the hand of God. It's the safest place there is to be!
If we are living, we must "experience." Some things we experience are good, wholesome and healthy. Some things are not. When circumstances are traumatic, everything around us seems to be spinning and out of control. At some point, we almost always experience what is called grief, and we usually can recognize it and identify it.
But sometimes what we experience may not be quite so devastating. Maybe simply a case of the ordinary, every day blahs. Or maybe it seems difficult for you, but to someone else it's a walk in the park. The emotions we feel then may not be as readily and easily recognizable. The important thing in dealing with grief and depression is to recognize and identify it. Once we recognize what we are dealing with, it is then that we can begin to overcome. As the saying goes, "knowing what the problem is, is half the battle."
